About Us
Hunter Design Build
As a graduate of University of Colorado Architectural program I started this company to return to Colorado to apply my skills I have learned as a Project Manager and Architect building US Embassies around the world. I have learned many construction techniques by working with different cultures and people. My love for nature and how humans become part of the natural fabric of our designed spaces is why I started Hunter Design build. Our focus here is to provide a design and a home that is lending itself to the existing conditions on site, while leaving a minimal carbon footprint. We strive to design out homes to be off-grid to reduce our impact we have on our planet. We are a family owned and run business, from Design to execution we are involved in every process and use this time to teach others how to respect our environment, and become self sufficient in our own lives.
40 Acres Off-Grid Southern Colorado
This homesite provides beautiful 360 degree views, with Mt. Blanca rising up over 14000 feet. While the homesite is 40 acres she sits in a 17000 acre ranch that is zoned agricultural. Wildlife is abundant with deer, elk, bears, turkeys and mountain lions present. The community is all off grid and provides no maintenance during winter months so the ranch falls back to nature each year.
